A track through the Valley of the Waters in the magnificent Blue Mountains takes you past many falls including this one. The Blue Mountains are only an hour from Sydney, Australia and offer a diverse national park experience in a very accessible and tourist friendly way, with towns such as Blackheath, Katoomba and Wentworth Falls all nestled among the big gorges and ravines.
These falls would have to be one of my favourites. The cascading water creates a fine haze that gives the whole scene an almost dream-like, fairytale feel. The blue tinge is very real. Something about the dark rocks and misty waterspray catching the dim light under the trees.
