South Australia has a considerable quantity of aging and ruined homesteads. Legacies of a bygone era, these old farmyard settings doubtless have a story to tell of life on the land.
I’d driven past this one maybe half a dozen times on my travels to more exciting destinations such as Flinders Ranges, but this time found myself taken by the late afternoon light and gathering storm clouds. Shortly afterwards the sun set and rain that had followed me from Victoria caught up.
